Leopard Dinner Party

I love hosting dinner parties. I just love creating the ambiance and making the table beautiful. I especially enjoy the entire process. There’s something so therapeutic in it all. Do you feel the same way? I wasn’t looking for these leopard dinner plates when I wandered the store aisles. But once I saw them at Hobby Lobby, I knew I had to grab them! Sadly they don’t sell them online but you could try calling around your local Hobby Lobby store to see if they have any left! I also bought the crystal wine goblets from Kirkland’s a few weeks ago and they are now all sold out so I found another similar match for you! With the exception of the leopard appetizer plates, leopard dinner plates, chargers and crystal wine goblets everything is accurately sourced for you! I did try to find and replicate a similar dinner setting look for you! I hope you will like it just as much! Happy Shopping friends!! XO!

Entertaining Must Haves!

I’ve always loved to entertain and have people over! When we finished the outdoor patio, I especially love hosting outdoors when the weather is really nice out! I recently started to really get into buying what I needed to make hosting go even more smoothly! Today, I am sharing my favorite items that I use to entertain! The two-tiered marble pedestal stands are amazing to put assorted desserts on them! They just look so elegant! I bought 4 to put one on each end of my large white kitchen island when hosting a lot of people! Cheese knives sets are always a must have! Gold, in my opinion just dresses up a basic cheese knives set! This wood and marble charcuterie board adds such character and I use it all of the time! Isn’t this brass 3 bowl condiment so darling? And this marble and glass cake cloche has multi-purpose functions! You can bake a small 8″ cake and let it sit under the cloche and stay fresh when ready to serve. You can also put an assortment of soft and hard cheeses to keep it from getting hard and bitter when left out too long. Or you can keep fresh baked cookies to display in it like a cookie jar too! However you use it, it serves as both decorative and functional for gatherings or every day living! Another great hosting recommendation is this marble wine chiller for times when you’re in a hurry and forgot to put your wine in the fridge before your gathering! So smart! I love having a simple ice bucket for outdoors and stashing several bottles of wine to keep cold but the ice always melts in the warm weather! So I came across this really neat insulated water bucket that keeps wine bottles AND ice cold up to 6 hours! GENIUS! You will always need a pretty cake stand and last but not least a great chip and dip platter! These are my top favorite serving items for gatherings and I hope these entertaining must haves will help you plan your next gatherings! XO!

4th Of July Tablescape!

Good morning friends!! I’ve finally put together my own idea of a 4th of July tablescape! I wanted to re-use a lot of things I already owned which was the silverwares, rattan chargers, my glass hurricane vases, mini glass votives for citronella candles and of course my textured white pillows for the host and hostess chairs. In order to make it holiday worthy, I did end up buying new plates and the mini American flags. I also didn’t want to overdo it with being too “theme-y”. I did want to buy something that I could re-use every year to be wallet friendly. Here is a funny little story on the hydrangeas centerpiece for the table! I had bought fresh bouquets a few days prior at Trader Joe’s and it was already wilted by the next day! 🙁 So I googled and tried the boiling water trick and it still didn’t perk right back up after a few hours so I ended up having to discard the whole bouquet in the trash bin! These photographed floral centerpieces are the faux ones I ran out and bought at Michael’s! I have no shame since I knew they would also hold up and photography well in this crazy Indiana humidity! 😉 I hope my 4th of July table setting will help inspire you with your very own table decorations for the 4th! I’ve provided all the shopping links for you below and the only exact items can’t link is the big glass hurricanes for the candles. Those I had bought probably 5 years ago from Pier One imports so I linked something else that is similar for you! Happy 4th of July friends! May your day be patriotic and celebratory!

XOXO!

Summer Outdoor entertaining!

I absolutely love dining alfresco in the summer time and now I am so happy that I get to do it in our very own backyard! The patio got poured, set and finished at the end of April. The patio table set was ordered back in late March and just now finally got the missing table delivered in early June! While waiting for all the big ticket items to arrive or be completed, I slowly ordered and collected all of the tabletop settings. Then last Thursday evening, I hosted a very small girls night in last week and took photos to share with you! It was so nice to get dressed up with friends and sit at a table that looked and felt fancy-like! We all sat at the table, drank light refreshments and ate off of the charcuterie board that I quickly made up! Laughter, good food & drinks with friends are the perfect recipe for summer outdoor entertaining! I am so glad summer is now finally here aren’t you?!

xo!

Side note: Everything linked below is what I used for the table set. The marble cake stand was given to me by a dear friend when we first moved into our new house so I linked a similar option for you! The vase is no longer available so I found a similar option and the flowers are fresh blooms from my local Trader Joe’s market!

Memorial Day Tablescape!

Hi Friends! I’ve complied a mix & match Memorial Day decor to help you get ready for your Memorial Day celebration! I love celebrating the holidays with friends and family! The smell of a good burger on the grill, corn on the cob, and all the yummy desserts! All so so good! Whenever I think of Memorial Day decoration, I think of super casual, gavalanized metal, american flags everywhere, table cloths, picnic table vibes! Don’t you agree? I also really like picking out stuff that I can use over and over again for the next outdoor gathering! It can get really expensive when you’re constantly buying different types of party decorations! So I’ve come up with a mood board and a tagged shopping link to help you find your next decor for your upcoming Memorial Day party! If you follow me on my design Instagram account, you’ll notice that I am all about those twinkle lights these days! You can add a small battery operated twinkle lights inside clear jars for a cozy evening glow while sitting outside! I like to have several jars or lanterns scattered throughout the table! This makes it easiest to minimally decorate your table while letting your lighting take center stage! The white melamine plates and woven plate chargers are perfect to re-use over and over for other events! The mesh food coverings you can also use at every outdoor food gathering. I picked this patriotic table runner from Potterybarn to give it that festive holiday look without being too over the top! And the navy blue star outdoor pillow would be super cute to put at the end of a host and hostess table! Decorating for Memorial Day doesn’t have to be matchy-matchy or over the top American flags everywhere. It can be simple yet still be able to pay homage to our fallen American soldiers who gave their life for our freedom. Happy Memorial Day friends!
