Friday Favorites!

Hi Friends! Friday Favorites looks a little different today! I’ve compiled together my Favorite Must haves Winter Essentials! I’ve been buying these black leggings since last winter and I’m still buying more because I love the fit and feel of them so much! I just ordered one in a faux leather and can’t wait to wear it! The price point is so reasonable too at $23! I used to buy pricey Zella Leggings for $50 from Nordstrom’s a few years ago! I also recently discovered these 2 pack of basic white tank tops from Amazon! I used to buy the inexpensive Merona brand from Target for several years until they discontinued it! I was so disappointed! I had been on the hunt for a great white layering tank top for a while until I found these Amazon basic tanks! These Amazon tanks run a little bit and definitely long which is perfect for me! I have a longer torso and I like a little big on tank tops in case of shrinkage in the wash! These cute and comfy UGG slippers are my to go to when I now wear slippers! They may be a bit pricey but they have outlasted so many slippers I have worn! Lord knows I used to have to buy a pair of “house slippers” once a month because I wore them all day long every day! I’ve worn North Face winter coats for over 10 years now! I know they are expensive! I typically get at least 5 years out of them before I replace them with another one! But this year I decided to try another brand through Amazon! I am so glad I did! They are so warm! Love how nice and deep the hood is! So many zippered pockets! Great to hold your Iphone when you’re outside with your kids! And the side zippers to expand the coat is also a really cool feature! I’ve always bought Soma Intimates pjs for many years! They may be a little on the pricey side but if you wait for it to go on sale then it’s totally worth it! The pjs really hold up well in the wash. And my favorite part about them is when I’ve slept in them all night and first roll out of bed they still look perfect and unwrinkled! I’ve been carrying this oversized black Tory Burch for 5 years now since I got rid of diaper bags! It’s also really held up really well! Because we are finally out of diaper stages, I am really considering downsizing to the smaller version! It looks so good with my winter coats and I can wipe down any stains effortlessly! Such a smart buy in my opinion! Last clothing item I wanted to discuss is this fluffy white robe! All I asked for Christmas was a new white robe! My husband sure did deliver with this white robe! It is so incredibly warm and the length is perfect for this petite mama! And it’s currently on sale!! It is definitely one of my favorite must have winter wardrobe essentials! Last but not least, beauty products. I’ve been using this deep treat conditioning hair mask for years! I’ve tried so many different ones and think one is a proven winner on making my hair super soft! Just a helpful tip, leave it on as long as you can! I use this mask on the weekends and usually leave the mask on for 10 minutes then I rinse it out! You can get it on Amazon and it’s super affordable! My last favorite is this LOVE necklace! I’ve shared it on past Friday Favorite posts and I feel like it bears repeating! It is so pretty and dainty! Perfect for everyday wear! I love it so much! Well friends, everything is linked below for you! Happy Shopping and have a great weekend!

Winter Refresh!

Hi Friends! Do you feel like your home feels completely bare now that you’ve put away all of your Christmas decoration? Do you also feel stuck on how to decorate as well? It’s not the holidays or spring time so you can’t pull out either of those decorations! I’m going to show you how to decorate for winter! Lord knows how long winter can drag on for months! Am I right?! Now when it comes to decorating for winter, you must think, COZY, LAYERS, TEXTURES, WOOD, CANDLES AND METAL, SOME WINTER GREENS. You might think, well gosh some of my Christmas decoration could work?! And yes it probably could as long as you do not have the color red in it, glitter, or ornaments! Christmas traditional colors have always been red so I would avoid that if you’re are re-using some of your Christmas decorations for winter. You could use faux White Magnolia flowers in a floral arrangements! And you could also use pinecones in your styling accessory too!

I’ve created a Winter Refresh Mood board to help you envision what design elements you can add in your home during this winter! I picked this creamy white faux berry winter wreath which you can put anywhere you like best in your home! I tend to hang wreaths on my mirrors, my stovetop range or front doors! For this one, I would most likely hang it on my mirror! Now adding the wood element, I picked out this beautiful dried grapeseed branch! I currently have it in my husband’s office! It is beautiful! You can find it at PotteryBarn or even your local HomeGoods if you’re lucky! How to add in layers and texture Elements; think cozy cable knits in pillows and snuggly throws! And add in faux furs! Think neutral winter colors! Another texture element would be leather! Faux or real! Last but not least, woven storage baskets of all sizes! Many homes already have woven baskets in it! This brings natural warmth in a living space! Candles! I prefer to use battery operated candles since I have young children and I always worry about the risk of a fire. Battery Operated candles have come such a long way! Some look so amazingly real with that flickering light on top! Having “lit” candles everywhere adds that warm, cozy winter ambiance! This brass candleholder also brings the metal warmth to the space. Last design element I wanted to talk about is adding winter greens. You could choose faux green magnolias (think wreaths) boxwoods (for planters indoor and out), snowdrops (outside potted planter). Moss balls for texture and added greenery in styling accessories!

If you need extra help, I also highly recommend ordering this book to read called, The Little Book of Hygge. The Danish Secrets of Happiness by Meik Wiking. If you know anything about the Danish, they’ve master the art of living in long winters and while feeling cozy!

And there you have it friends! I hope I was able to help you in decorating for winter!

XO!

Friday Favorites!

Hi Friends! It’s been a long time since I’ve shared a post since Christmas! It was partly a nice relaxing break until Christmas Day. Then after Christmas, I like many other people I knew fumbled around not knowing what day it was until after New Year’s. Then I got sick with a sinus infection for a whole week which I’m still recovering from! So it’s been a while since I’ve been on here! I’ve missed blogging and missed sharing ideas with you!

When creating this Friday favorite post, I started with my favorite wall art that I’ve had my eye on forever and this gorgeous vintage style rug that I adore! Did you see the french style chandelier?! I love it so much that I’m trying to convince my husband we need to hang it in our pantry when we finish it out with wood shelvings! He of course thinks I’m a little bit crazy! But I’ll get him to come around eventually! Some of my favorite styling accessories are brand new released and super affordable! Like this white scalloped bowl and decorative metal knot! Don’t wait long on the white scalloped bowl! I guarantee it won’t last long! I love all things french and this cute little french saying, C’est La Vie means it’s life! It’s a great little art piece to layer with bigger art! This gives it a over time well collected look when styling with accessories. I also always love adding storage baskets to a room because it brings warmth and textures as well as a practical storage solution!

Add this beautiful wood grain dresser and the light blush pink table lamp that brings out the color hues in the wall art! If you notice how everything comes from a different style of contemporary wall art to the french chandelier yet it all works together beautifully! It’s all about how you marry different styles together!

Well friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed my Friday Favorites! Have a GREAT weekend!

White and Gold Glam Christmas Table

Hi Friends! It may look like I put this table effortlessly but it took me a few weeks to figure out what I wanted to do in here! I originally wanted to do mostly silver but it felt a little bit cold and lacked warmth for me so I added in primarily gold accents and a little bit of silver for that balance! I bought those mercury table top trees last year from Target and knew I wanted to use it on my Christmas table! Then I needed to figure out how to to tie it all together with the gold so I searched for gold and silver flatware set! Believe me, looking for a fancy gold and silver flatware was no easy task! It was either ridiculously expensive or not very many inventory searches! But I persisted and found at nice reasonably priced set!

I love votive and tea light candles for a dinner evening light glow. It really sets the tone for an intimate dinner with family and friends. I love sitting around and lingering after dessert been eaten while laughing and enjoying a full belly of good food! Don’t you? I showed on my instagram stories a few days ago about my very first fine china set that I bought to use for our Christmas dinner! Can you believe it? I have been married almost 19 years and I have never owned fine china until now! It’s a pretty big deal to me! Makes me feel very proud! This gold fine china set is on sale! It comes with coffee cup, saucer plate, soup bowl, salad plate, appetizer plate and dinner plate!

If you still haven’t figured out how you are wanting to set up your Christmas table yet, there’s still time! I hope my photos will hopefully give you inspiration on how you want to style your own Christmas table! I’ve listed all the sources for you below! (My mercury trees are from Target’s last year but I linked something similar!)

Friday Favorites!

Well friends I did it again! I somehow subconsciously created another mood board! I think I miss creating them so it’s creeped its way into my Friday Favorites post! So I hope you don’t mind and will feel inspired by some of the home decor accessories and furniture shared on here!

I have been feeling all the white and gold luxe lately! It’s such a great way to brighten a room and add simple richness all at the same time! I have been eyeing this gorgeous wall art for months now! It’s always been on the back burner of list of things to buy for my home! I am sure you can relate! Waiting for something makes it that much more exciting to receive it don’t you agree friends? So hopefully after Christmas I will finally make do on my promise to order it! I don’t know about you friends but I am finally feeling ready to take down the Christmas decoration and get back to normal everyday decorating! I can’t believe I am saying that to be honest with you! Normally I want to keep it all up until after New Year’s Day and then take it all down! But because I started decorating for Christmas right after Halloween this year, I got to fully appreciate Christmas much longer!

If you notice on this Friday Favorites mood board, it has all of my favorite french decor pieces on it! This cane bed is just gorgeous with its feminine and romantic curves on the headboard! This beautiful french antique replica nightstand is a timeless investment piece you will treasure forever! The gold leafing on it adds that special detail to it! As for accessories, you’ll never guess where this gold rimmed ceramic dish came from! And the price! It looks so expensive but it’s not! I absolutely love this crystal french chandelier! If you personally know me, I would have a crystal chandelier in every room of the house! I like to think I’m getting there! Ha! Last but not least, this luxe silk bolster pillow will make any bed look dreamy! I have one similar in a gorgeous spa blue color! I love it so much!

Friday Favorites!

Hi Friends! It’s the best day of the week! Fri-yay!! Whoo hoo! I’ve rounded up some great Favorite finds for you! But first let’s talk about this pair of beautiful contemporary artwork! It looks high end yet is affordably priced! I love how it is neutral and you can visually style it with just about anything which makes it a fantastic investment! Although it is a contemporary art piece, I paired it with this traditional pinstriped chair and traditional table lamp which ties it all together beautifully! Design Tip: You don’t always need to buy one particular style to make a room work as long as you know how to mix traditional and contemporary pieces together. Same goes for adding antiques and french country pieces. This helps to keep a room looking updated, fresh and as well as putting your very own personal style stamp on it!

I’ve also sourced these home decor accessories for you as well! This round hammered tray is new and such a great mixed metal accent to add into any room as well as to warm up a space! It is so versatile you can put it anywhere in the home! Kitchen, living room, entry way, office! Accessories that can visually work in just about any space is the perfect home decor to buy! I found this glass hurricane candleholder at such an awesome price! It’s much cheaper than the ones at Crate & Barrel! And as you know, we love cozy blankets in our home and can never own too many! These come in 6 different beautiful colors!

Moving onto to fashion! I just recently bought this beautiful coat with the faux fur trim hood on black Friday sale! I love how I can dress it up or down depending on the occasion! I got mine in the beautiful gray color! I also love a good cream cable knit sweater! I update one every year because it is such a classic wardrobe staple to have! It literally goes with everything! These pearl clusters and Tory Burch perfumes are one of my absolute favorites! Well friends I truly hope you look forward to my weekly Friday Favorites like I do! Have a great weekend! XO!

Gold and White Christmas Kitchen!

Welcome to my first official Christmas post! I am so excited to share with you! When I was thinking of colors to decorate my kitchen for Christmas I knew I wanted to use some things I already had on hand and of course add a few new Christmas decor! I chose gold because I knew I needed to warm up a plain white kitchen! Plus gold is a luxurious metallic accent! If you know me by now, I love fancy and creating Christmas magic where ever I can!

I’ve had this beautiful gold wreath above the stovetop last year from Pier One imports and decided once I put that up on the backsplash it was going to be my starting point. (Here’s one that is similar!) Next I alway use a flower/vase vignette on my kitchen island and knew I had the perfect round gold tray that I wasn’t currently using in storage! So I pulled that out and decided that I needed a new ginger jar and little mini gold christmas trees. I did replace my oil landscape artwork with the gold Jesus is the Reason art plaque (there is currently no link and is available at the At Home store). Then I switched out my blue and white vase with a white vase I already had on hand! (You might remember it from my 4th of July tablescape?)

Next I envisioned a festive Christmas bow to put on top of my brass lanterns! The only problem was that I was not very good at creating a big bow that stayed put so I went online and found inexpensive pre-made light gold bows! Once it came in, it was super easy to tie around the light chain! (Mine is in the natural solid color)

Last I added a big fir candle scent in a white Christmas jar to my kitchen island vignette! Voila! My Gold and White Christmas kitchen is complete! I kept it all simple and let the gold accent colors shine through! I hope my kitchen can help inspire you to create your very own Gold and White Christmas kitchen!

Thank you for stopping by! XO!
