Friday Favorites!

By Posted on 1 3 m read

Hi Friends! Friday Favorites looks a little different today! I’ve compiled together my Favorite Must haves Winter Essentials! I’ve been buying these black leggings since last winter and I’m still buying more because I love the fit and feel of them so much! I just ordered one in a faux leather and can’t wait to wear it! The price point is so reasonable too at $23! I used to buy pricey Zella Leggings for $50 from Nordstrom’s a few years ago! I also recently discovered these 2 pack of basic white tank tops from Amazon! I used to buy the inexpensive Merona brand from Target for several years until they discontinued it! I was so disappointed! I had been on the hunt for a great white layering tank top for a while until I found these Amazon basic tanks! These Amazon tanks run a little bit and definitely long which is perfect for me! I have a longer torso and I like a little big on tank tops in case of shrinkage in the wash! These cute and comfy UGG slippers are my to go to when I now wear slippers! They may be a bit pricey but they have outlasted so many slippers I have worn! Lord knows I used to have to buy a pair of “house slippers” once a month because I wore them all day long every day! I’ve worn North Face winter coats for over 10 years now! I know they are expensive! I typically get at least 5 years out of them before I replace them with another one! But this year I decided to try another brand through Amazon! I am so glad I did! They are so warm! Love how nice and deep the hood is! So many zippered pockets! Great to hold your Iphone when you’re outside with your kids! And the side zippers to expand the coat is also a really cool feature! I’ve always bought Soma Intimates pjs for many years! They may be a little on the pricey side but if you wait for it to go on sale then it’s totally worth it! The pjs really hold up well in the wash. And my favorite part about them is when I’ve slept in them all night and first roll out of bed they still look perfect and unwrinkled! I’ve been carrying this oversized black Tory Burch for 5 years now since I got rid of diaper bags! It’s also really held up really well! Because we are finally out of diaper stages, I am really considering downsizing to the smaller version! It looks so good with my winter coats and I can wipe down any stains effortlessly! Such a smart buy in my opinion! Last clothing item I wanted to discuss is this fluffy white robe! All I asked for Christmas was a new white robe! My husband sure did deliver with this white robe! It is so incredibly warm and the length is perfect for this petite mama! And it’s currently on sale!! It is definitely one of my favorite must have winter wardrobe essentials! Last but not least, beauty products. I’ve been using this deep treat conditioning hair mask for years! I’ve tried so many different ones and think one is a proven winner on making my hair super soft! Just a helpful tip, leave it on as long as you can! I use this mask on the weekends and usually leave the mask on for 10 minutes then I rinse it out! You can get it on Amazon and it’s super affordable! My last favorite is this LOVE necklace! I’ve shared it on past Friday Favorite posts and I feel like it bears repeating! It is so pretty and dainty! Perfect for everyday wear! I love it so much! Well friends, everything is linked below for you! Happy Shopping and have a great weekend!

Winter Refresh!

By Posted on 2 3 m read

Hi Friends! Do you feel like your home feels completely bare now that you’ve put away all of your Christmas decoration? Do you also feel stuck on how to decorate as well? It’s not the holidays or spring time so you can’t pull out either of those decorations! I’m going to show you how to decorate for winter! Lord knows how long winter can drag on for months! Am I right?! Now when it comes to decorating for winter, you must think, COZY, LAYERS, TEXTURES, WOOD, CANDLES AND METAL, SOME WINTER GREENS. You might think, well gosh some of my Christmas decoration could work?! And yes it probably could as long as you do not have the color red in it, glitter, or ornaments! Christmas traditional colors have always been red so I would avoid that if you’re are re-using some of your Christmas decorations for winter. You could use faux White Magnolia flowers in a floral arrangements! And you could also use pinecones in your styling accessory too!

I’ve created a Winter Refresh Mood board to help you envision what design elements you can add in your home during this winter! I picked this creamy white faux berry winter wreath which you can put anywhere you like best in your home! I tend to hang wreaths on my mirrors, my stovetop range or front doors! For this one, I would most likely hang it on my mirror! Now adding the wood element, I picked out this beautiful dried grapeseed branch! I currently have it in my husband’s office! It is beautiful! You can find it at PotteryBarn or even your local HomeGoods if you’re lucky! How to add in layers and texture Elements; think cozy cable knits in pillows and snuggly throws! And add in faux furs! Think neutral winter colors! Another texture element would be leather! Faux or real! Last but not least, woven storage baskets of all sizes! Many homes already have woven baskets in it! This brings natural warmth in a living space! Candles! I prefer to use battery operated candles since I have young children and I always worry about the risk of a fire. Battery Operated candles have come such a long way! Some look so amazingly real with that flickering light on top! Having “lit” candles everywhere adds that warm, cozy winter ambiance! This brass candleholder also brings the metal warmth to the space. Last design element I wanted to talk about is adding winter greens. You could choose faux green magnolias (think wreaths) boxwoods (for planters indoor and out), snowdrops (outside potted planter). Moss balls for texture and added greenery in styling accessories!

If you need extra help, I also highly recommend ordering this book to read called, The Little Book of Hygge. The Danish Secrets of Happiness by Meik Wiking. If you know anything about the Danish, they’ve master the art of living in long winters and while feeling cozy!

And there you have it friends! I hope I was able to help you in decorating for winter!

Friday Favorites!

By Posted on 0 2 m read

Hi Friends! It’s been a long time since I’ve shared a post since Christmas! It was partly a nice relaxing break until Christmas Day. Then after Christmas, I like many other people I knew fumbled around not knowing what day it was until after New Year’s. Then I got sick with a sinus infection for a whole week which I’m still recovering from! So it’s been a while since I’ve been on here! I’ve missed blogging and missed sharing ideas with you!

When creating this Friday favorite post, I started with my favorite wall art that I’ve had my eye on forever and this gorgeous vintage style rug that I adore! Did you see the french style chandelier?! I love it so much that I’m trying to convince my husband we need to hang it in our pantry when we finish it out with wood shelvings! He of course thinks I’m a little bit crazy! But I’ll get him to come around eventually! Some of my favorite styling accessories are brand new released and super affordable! Like this white scalloped bowl and decorative metal knot! Don’t wait long on the white scalloped bowl! I guarantee it won’t last long! I love all things french and this cute little french saying, C’est La Vie means it’s life! It’s a great little art piece to layer with bigger art! This gives it a over time well collected look when styling with accessories. I also always love adding storage baskets to a room because it brings warmth and textures as well as a practical storage solution!

Add this beautiful wood grain dresser and the light blush pink table lamp that brings out the color hues in the wall art! If you notice how everything comes from a different style of contemporary wall art to the french chandelier yet it all works together beautifully! It’s all about how you marry different styles together!

Well friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed my Friday Favorites! Have a GREAT weekend!
